Severe Weather Plan for Commencement

Due to inclement weather Albertus Magnus College has enacted the severe weather plan. The Commencement Exercises will be held indoors in the Cosgrove, Marcus, Messer Athletic Center Gymnasium. Given, the limited space in the gym, two tickets is the maximum number allowed per graduate. Please be sure your guests have their tickets. Only guests with tickets may be allowed in the gymnasium.

**Limited additional space will be available on campus for viewing a simulcast of the commencement ceremony; viewing locations are:

Tagliatela Academic Center Atrium
Aquinas Hall Bree Common & Devaney Hall
McAuliffe Hall Special simulcast viewing area that is Handicap accessible (Common Area); parking is limited to those with Handicap access and their families

We encourage family and friends to access the link below to the live streaming of the commencement ceremony from home.

Parking is available on a first come, first serve basis on the campus and surrounding streets. There will be limited handicap parking available in the front of the Cosgrove, Marcus, Messer Athletic Center. Additionally, there will be golf carts traveling through the parking areas to assist guests who may need a ride to the venue.

Graduates

Please arrive wearing your regalia by 12:30 p.m. Ushers and staff will be available in the lobby to direct you and provide further instructions.

Faculty & Staff

Please bring your faculty ID with you to identify yourself as a ceremony participant/helper.

Please arrive by 1:15 p.m. and assemble in the racquet ball court on the lower level of the building. Once you are robed and ready to go, you can form the line of march in the hallway outside the court. Ushers and staff will be on hand to assist with procession instructions.

Laurel Celebration and Baccalaureate Mass | Commencement 2019

On May 18, 2019, the Class Of 2019 received their Laurel Awards and heard from speakers, including Professor Ron Waite, and #FearlessFalcons Tiffany Young '19, Grace Vestro '19, and Hymie Glick '19. The Baccalaureate Mass followed with words from Father Jordan Lenaghan, O.P. — “Strive for truth, strive for meaning, be the community that other people strive to find.”

Albertus Magnus College Receives $2 Million Department of Education Grant

Albertus Magnus College Seal

Albertus Magnus College has been awarded a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) totaling $1,989,789. The DOE Title III grant will enable Albertus Magnus to further strengthen its commitment to student success and improve its capacity to serve low-income and first-generation students. This is the largest federal grant in the College’s history and the second major Federal grant Albertus Magnus has received this year.
